I have never before seen a film about gardening in which I felt the Gospel pouring out and overflowing from the content, but wow, that’s exactly what Back to Eden is.
So inspired was I by watching this nearly two-hour documentary for free online that I bought my own copy and plan to implement the ideas shared therein as soon as possible.
Now, I have to admit, environmentalism for the sake of environmentalism (from “scientists” who have Darwin at the heart of their belief systems) is silly to me. On the other hand, environmentalism that is rooted in one’s faith in God is not only sensible, but a consistent outworking of love for the Creator who created us to live upon His creation and to have dominion and be guardian-caretakers of it.
Here is the summary from the film’s website:
BACK TO EDEN shares the story of one man’s lifelong journey, walking with God and learning how to get back to the simple, productive methods of sustainable provision that were given to man in the garden of Eden. The organic growing system that has resulted from Paul Gautschi’s incredible experiences has garnered the interest of visitors from around the world. However, never until now have Paul’s methods been documented and shared like this!
